What it is. The Destination Wedding Cost Index is our annual, anonymised benchmark of what a wedding actually costs per guest — broken down by region, venue type and guest-count band, published each January. It is a reference, not a price list, and it rests only on real, consented weddings. The full standard – method, integrity commitments and how to take part – is on the The Destination Wedding Cost Index page.

This edition – Edition 1 / 2027 (pilot note)

The method and cadence are set, but no cost figures are published yet. No cell reaches the minimum of five consented weddings.

Cost per guest by region and guest-count band: TO COLLECT / not enough data (n=0) in every cell. The next edition (January 2028) will carry the first benchmark once the data exists. No number is padded or estimated.

The method in five lines

  1. Six inputs per wedding from our own records: budget by category, guest count, month, venue type, region, currency.
  2. Cost per guest = total budget ÷ guest count; normalised to EUR (kronor alongside).
  3. Per cell we publish the median and the middle-half range (25th–75th percentile) — never the mean.
  4. A cell is published only with at least five consented weddings; otherwise "not enough data".
  5. Only consented, anonymised weddings enter; missing data is shown as missing.

Contribute data

Venues and suppliers: if you contribute anonymised cost data from weddings you have worked on, the picture becomes truer — and you are credited, with your permission. A venue is named only if it agrees; otherwise it counts under its type. Couples who married with us can ask to have their anonymised budget included. Get in touch with your contact at Pink Palms and we will tell you exactly what we ask for.
